Ramesh has over twenty-three years of experience in the fields of energy environment and climate change. He has developed many programmes and projects in the fields of renewable energy and green solutions whilst also contributing in many applied research activities. His is a GCF Expert and also a Climate Change Mitigation Specialist. He has worked in intergovernmental organizations such as The World Bank FAO IUCN along with Intergovernmental Enterprises such as GIZ and GOPA. He has also worked in Korean National Research Institutes. He has contributed to IUCN GCF FP124 of 49 million US$ which is currently being implemented. He has a PhD in thermochemical conversion of organic waste where he contributes as an International Bioenergy Consultant in many platforms. He was involved in developing the 3rd National GCF Readiness Proposal for Sri Lanka. He also has first authored peer reviewed high impact factor journal articles in this field. He also has a Bachelor from University of Leeds UK where he read environmental energy engineering and a master's from AIT in energy technologies. He has also reviewed in Bioresource Technology Journal. He was an expert reviewer for IPCC SROCCC FOD in June 2018.
