Mr. Pravakar Pradhan completed his master’s degrees in urban environmental
Management from Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) in 2003 in Thailand. He worked as a Research Associate at the School of Environment Resources and Development (SERD) AIT in Thailand (April 2004-February 2013). He pursued various types of research activities related to urban issues such as the land use water use air pollution climate change etc. during his tenure at AIT. He managed and monitored two ‘low carbon cities projects’ by involving ten cities from four Asian countries. He provided assistance to these cities to analyze GHG emissions from their cities. He also worked as a Research Faculty and taught climate change and environmental impact assessment (EIA) to the Bachelor Level students of Department of Civil Engineering in Asian Institute of Technology and Management (AITM) Nepal. Currently he is working as a Senior Program Manager in Leadership Academy Nepal (LAN) (visit: leadershipnepal.com). He has also been serving as a physical environmental specialist for the EIA review team in Government Ministry of Forest and Environment, Nepal.
